Soroptimist International of Los Banos


Members are currently selling tickets for The Giving Tree. Each ticket is $20 and the winner will receive a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree with thousands of dollars in gift certificates. Proceeds benefit local student scholarships. The winner will be drawn on November 30th. For more information, please contact Helene Mitchell at 209-675-1009.
Canned Food Drive & Coats 4 Kids
Los Banos Century 21 MM?s Annual Food & Coat Drive continues again this year. For every can of food dropped off at, you will receive a ticket for a chance to win a $250 Visa Gift Card. In addition, the Coats 4 Kids program needs coats in every size, new or gently used. Gently used coats are cleaned (for free) by Johnnie’s Cleaners.

The drive is going on now until December 18th. Canned Food and Coat Donations can be dropped off at 1155 East Pacheco Blvd, Los Banos. Los Banos Rotary


The Rotary Club of Los Banos provides food boxes every Friday for 15 local students. These food bags ensure local students will have 3 meals each day over the weekend. If you are interested in learning more about this on-going effort to end local hunger, or would like to make a donation, please contact Gene Lieb at 209-704-3831.

Wreaths Across America


Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as San Joaquin National Cemetery. The ceremony begins at 9 am on December 15th and the wreath placement is at 10 am. Wreaths are available from the Los Banos American Auxiliary Unit 166 for $15 each.
