Registration is required and is available at www.countyofmerced.com/D5TH. Information will be presented from key department staff. Spanish and Hmong listening options are available. Remote in-person attendance is available but limited to those that do have internet access or are otherwise unable to join virtually.

Thursday, January 30th
On Thursday, January 30th, I will be cohosting the Los Banos Chamber of Commerce Mixer. The event will be held at the Chamber offices, 932 6th St, Los Banos, CA 93635. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. All are invited to stop by, whether you are a Chamber member or not. Appetizers from Espana’s and M & M will be provided. The Chamber will host a Cash Bar. For those that are planning to attend, please bring a canned food item. We will be donating these items to the Salvation Army to restock their food pantry. Stop by and say hello, I’d love to see you there and help support one of our local Chambers.

The Merced County Spring Fair is almost here and that means it is time for my 2nd Annual May Day Dinner. Started over 20 years ago by former Supervisor Jerry O’Banion, I am carrying on the tradition. This year?s May Day Dinner will be held on Friday, April 26th 5:00pm at the Spring Fair Fairgrounds and will feature Steak Sandwiches, beans, chips and cookies. Tickets are $15.00 per dinner and are available online now and will be available in person soon. Please indicate if you will be picking up or dining in. Tickets Purchased online will be available at Will Call on the day of the event.

Merced County District 5 Town Hall Meeting Hosted by Scott Silveira, District 5 Supervisor. Chat with Supervisor Silveira, Meet County CEO Jim Brown and Hear County Updates. Departments Participating include Public Works Staff, Merced County Sheriff, Fire Department, Health & Human Services, Behavioral Health, Public Health, Santa Nella Water District, Cal Trans, Work Net and California Highway Patrol. Doors open at 6:00pm and the meeting will begin at 6:30pm. and will be held at Romero Elementary School, 13500 Luis Avenue, Santa Nella. You are all welcome to attend.
