As Christmas approaches, there are many families who will not have a happy holiday season without your help. Sheriff Vern Warnke, along with the Merced County Sheriff?s office, has started a program call Operation Christmas Star. This Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Los Banos Wal-Mart they will be having their annual toy drive. Walmart is located at 1575 W. Pacheco Blvd. in Los Banos. The toy drive will start at 7:00 am and end at 2:00 pm. Please come out, represent the Westside and bring a toy to donate. The Merced County Sheriff’s Office and Merced County Probation Department will have a display of equipment as well.

Survey

Tomorrow is the last day to participate in the County?s short, six-question survey regarding services you would like to see in the unincorporated County areas. The results will assist the County in determining services you currently use and how far you have to travel.

The results from the survey will be compiled in a report that will assist in determining future resource allocations and where services may be made available. Providing Merced County services locally in District 5 is important to all of us. Please take a moment and complete the survey by Friday, December 14th.
